General Cadet Information:
Cadets Meetings Will be starting at 18:30. General Meeting will still start at 19:00, Cadets will have opening formation, PT and group Drill starting at 18:30. It is our intent to adjust the meeting so we can dismiss at 20:30. In order to do this, we have to move from one thing to the next without a lot of confusion and chaos. Everybody knows that we need chairs out for the meeting at 19:00 and picked up at general closing - no one should have to say anything to make these things happen. I know, this will get easier once we get the schedule defined and posted.
PT Testing: None tonight as Lt Ravey is not present
Promotions will be done on Week 2. Cadets who promote during the previous month will be officially "pinned" with new rank on the 2nd Monday of the month. We will continue to plan a couple of larger promotion ceremonies throughout the year. We look forward to seeing a couple of Mitchell awards later this year!
DCC Comments to Cadets:
Uniform Issue: I want to stress the issue of uniforms and grooming standards. This is not new to you all. In general, our squadron has improved considerably in the proper wear of uniforms and we have already pointed out that grooming standards will be monitored more closely. I want to point out the effect a uniform violation can have. Not only does if reflect poorly on you, your squadron and the wing but be aware that if we happen to get some good photos of the cadets at an event and just one of the cadets forgot his ranks or did not meet grooming standards, that picture is useless. Keep this in mind every time you put that uniform on - wear it properly and ensure you are not on the boarder line of meeting the standards. Exceed the standards! We have been asked to be a standard bearers on this issue.
Drill Instruction - "To the Rear"
Dismissal 21:08 (we have a way to go to get to 20:30)
