GONZALES - Ascension Composite Squadron conducted its monthly cadet promotions on Monday, May 23, during which Cadet Staff Sargent C. Hodge was name the Cadet of the Quarter for first Quarter of 2012. Cadet SSgt Hodge was cited for his diligence in pursuing advancement in the program, high level of participation in meetings and activities, initiative, leadership skills and demonstrated communication skills, all while maintaining an above average GPA at school. Cadet Hodge exemplifies what it means to be a Civil Air Patrol Cadet and future leader for our community and for this achievement will wear the Royal Blue and Silver shoulder cord on his USAF style blues for the duration of the 2nd Quarter.
We can not forget others promoting on Monday. We are very proud of Cadet Airman D.Geromini, Cadet Senior Airman M.Christian, Cadet Staff Sargent L.Camocho and Cadet Staff Sargent C. Hodge. Additionally, Academic Awards of recognition were presented to cadets maintaining a 3.5 to 4.0 GPA. That award went to Cadet Sr. Airmen J. Townsend and H. Pike and Cadet Staff Sargent C. Hodge. The award for 4.0 or higher was presented to Cadet Chief Master Sargent C.Blank. Winners of the Academic awards may wear a special shoulder cord on their USAF style blues until the next report card is issued.
