Surplus Uniforms - assistance needed!

The wing has received an abundance of USAF style blue uniforms, all sizes, all items! Assistance is needed to sort these uniforms and distribute to squadrons. We will be planning a trip to Capital City Composite Squadron one day soon to assist with this project. At that time, those who go will get first pick of the uniform items (from shoes to covers to over coats.)

Watch this blog for announcement as to when we will go.

In the meantime, Please Collect the following items to assist with organization and sorting.
- Copy paper boxes (case) with tops - typically abundant at offices.
- Hangers - good shape / not rusted. Pant, shirt, skirt and heavy duty hangers for over coats.
- Large plastic storage bins (the kind with the split top that is hinged along the sides

Attention to Orders: Uniform Review

All cadets review uniform status ASAP.

Upcoming event on June 11 will require USAF Style Class A uniform with service coat for all Cadet A1C and above. All others need Class B (with Tie,  no Service Coat.) If you are an Airman and have a Service Coat, you need to bring it Monday.

Those going to encampment the following weekend will need Blues as well (see your packing list.)

ACT Now. If you have not tried your uniform on and had it tailored to fit properly (not to short, not too long) within the last month it would be wise to do so ASAP. Please ensure that uniforms are Dry cleaned and shirts are starched properly.

It is not unusual for cadets to put their blues on after one month and suddenly they are too short or too tight. Don't be caught it this situation. 


IF YOU NEED UNIFORM PIECES, THERE WILL BE OPPORTUNITY TO GET THEM THIS SATURDAY AFTER THE WING MEETING AT CAPITAL CITY COMPOSITES BLDG. IN BATON ROUGE. Contact your Flight Sgt or Cadet Command Staff for information on location.
